I ordered my new college desktop last monday with Dell( my parents said they had it ordered when really their computer guy completely forgot.) So I ordered it myself.
It's the xps one, very sexy.
The computer guy sent me the link, and i configured everything. I chose 2nd day air shipping to be safe, so I would have it before I moved to New Orleans.
after everything was said and done, the estimated shipping date read 9/03/2009.
That must be a mistake... the 3rd passed last week. the link just must not have been refreshed from when the computer guy originally configured it.
hm. a week later I check back. No refreshed date.
and i get to thinking.. and to counting months... and to my horror I realize September is the 9th month of our beautiful calendar system and NOT August.
BTW Two day air express shipping means 2 days after its built, which takes like 2 weeks...
September 3rd is the delivery date a, week and a half AFTER i no longer live in Lafayette and start college in NOLA.

on a brighter note though, I recently learned how cool libraries are, I feel like I'm stealing when i take books.. it's rush..lol
So, ill get to use library computers, until i have time to come home and pick up my computer.
I really do love the local public library though, with the exception of if you need the internet...good luck getting a computer in a public library, all of compterless youth harp on facebook and ignore time regulations........
how terribly inconvenient.
Last time i went they had a 45-60ish female security guard.
I nervously slid my eyes from her to the computerless youth and back, wondering if I had time to outrun her, if I punched a kid, and got on to print out a coupon I needed, payed the 20 cents, and ran like hell.
but who needs grandmaw chasing you around the nonfiction section trying to tase you..
